A man who was involved in running one of three Lambert's Cafe restaurants has been indicted on multiple charges.

According to the Springfield News-Leader, 50-year-old Benjamin Lambert of Ozark was indicted by a grand jury in Christian County, Missouri on September 7. An arrest warrant was issued three days later and he was arrested on Thursday.

The News-Leader reports that Lambert faces five charges, including two counts of sex trafficking of a child.

Court documents indicate that Lambert allegedly enticed two children to participate in a sex act for money and that he made videos of sexual contact involving the two children. He allegedly had a nude photo of one of the children and used his home in Ozark for prostitution purposes. The crimes reportedly took place in 2015.

Lambert is also facing charges of possessing child pornography, sexually exploiting a minor, and promoting prostitution.

The News-Leader reported that the most recent state documents in the Secretary of State's office show Lambert as president of the Ozark restaurant, and that he was part of the board when the business was incorporated in 1992.

Lambert's Cafe issued a statement on Friday that said, "We were surprised and saddened to hear the news and charges of Ben’s indictment. While Ben is the son of Norman Lambert, he has not been active in the management of the store in recent years. This indictment is strictly related to Ben’s personal life, but, if asked, we will cooperate with authorities. Lambert’s would never condone behavior of this nature. Lambert’s Cafe will continue to be a destination for family entertainment."
