Gov. Quinn Signs Three Education Laws

CHICAGO, IL - A new Illinois law creates a commission tasked with helping increase high school graduation rates.
Gov. Pat Quinn signed three education-related bills into law at a Chicago middle school on Wednesday.
One creates the Commission for High School Graduation Achievement and Success. The group has to present a report to lawmakers by November.
The other laws require Illinois schools to make health exam statistics, including immunizations, publicly available. And a third creates a program to help students of different backgrounds break down barriers.
