Gov. Pat Quinn says Illinoisans know President Barack Obama's record.
Quinn, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and congressional candidate Tammy Duckworth are speaking Tuesday at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.
In his speech, Quinn praised Obama's record from the time he was a state senator and credited him with saving the auto industry as president.
Duckworth is running against Republican Congressman Joe Walsh in suburban Chicago. A campaign email says her speech will take a personal approach and touch on her experiences growing up poor and her time with the military. Duckworth was an Army helicopter pilot in the Iraq War when she lost her legs in combat in 2004.
Emanuel, Obama's former chief of staff, is scheduled to speak after 8 p.m.
