Illinois 12th District House Candidates to Debate
By AP
BELLEVILLE, IL - Three candidates for a southern Illinois congressional seat again are ready to make their public case for the job.

Democrat Bill Enyart, Republican Jason Plummer and the Green Party's Paula Bradshaw are to debate each other Wednesday night at Lindenwood University's Belleville campus. The 90-minute event is to start at 7 pm.

It's the latest such debate for the 12th Congressional District candidates hoping to succeed Democrat Jerry Costello, who announced a year ago he wouldn't seek another term after 24 years in office.

The district includes 12 counties running from Cairo in Alexander County, to Alton, in Madison County.
