Meyer Asks Judge to Dismiss Coleman Lawsuit
By AP
BELLEVILLE, IL - An attorney for Joyce Meyer Ministries has asked an Illinois judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed against the televangelist by the family of a woman who was killed along with her two sons.

Christopher Coleman was Meyer's security chief and the husband of Sheri Coleman. He was convicted last year of the 2009 strangling deaths of his wife and their two sons, ages 11 and 9, in southern Illinois.

An attorney for Sheri Coleman's family claims Meyer's Missouri-based ministry should have warned them about Christopher Coleman. But an attorney for Meyer says the ministry did warn police and installed a surveillance camera on the Coleman home.

A St. Clair County judge did not immediately issue a ruling.
