Witness at Peterson Trial Leaves Courtroom Crying

JOLIET, IL - A prosecution witness broke down at Drew Peterson's trial as she began to tell jurors about how Peterson's third wife once said Peterson had bragged he could kill her and make it look like an accident.
The witness, Kristen Anderson, had just started to answer a question Wednesday when she began to cry. The judge asked jurors to leave and Anderson walked out of the courtroom sobbing and dabbing her face with a tissue.
Peterson had pleaded not guilty in the 2004 death of Kathleen Savio.
When Anderson returned 15 minutes later, she said Savio told her in 2003 that Peterson once broke into her house and made the threat at knife point.
She told jurors Savio was so afraid that she kept a knife under her mattress.
