ELIZABETHTOWN, KY - Authorities are continuing to search for a convicted rapist who escaped from the Hardin County Jail. 
 
According to The Courier-Journal 23-year-old Robert W. Wilson was serving time for second-degree rape when he walked out of the facility on Oct. 5. 
 
Police said an officer left Wilson alone in a downstairs room while retrieving his belongings and Wilson was gone when he returned. 
 
Wilson is described as 6-feet tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
