Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear's "About Kentucky" video has been published on YouTube.

In the video, Beshear announced that Site Selection magazine has ranked Kentucky 10th in the country for new and expanded industry activity in 2012. During 2012 Kentucky announced 354 location or expansion projects resulting in nearly 14,000 new full-time jobs, with a capital investment of $2.7 billion.

The survey also reviewed communities, and the city of Lexington ranked 7th among metro areas for its economic development successes.

Kentucky ranked fifth in the nation for the number of cities making the magazines top 'micropolitan' community list. These cities include Frankfort, Glasgow, Paducah, Richmond, Union City, Campbellsville, Maysville, Somerset, Danville, and Murray.

"These rankings represent another strong showing for Kentucky's economic development activities and reflect our ongoing dedication to economic growth," Beshear said.
