Democratic Gov. Steve Beshear is scheduled to announce the results of a study measuring the economic impact of Kentucky's automotive industry.

Beshear will make the announcement in Louisville along with Kentucky Automotive Industry Association Executive Director Dave Tatman and Integrated Manufacturing and Assembly CEO Jim Comer.

Kentucky is the third largest producer of light vehicles in the United States. Toyota makes the Camry at a plant in Georgetown while GM makes the Corvette at its Bowling Green plant and Ford produces pickup trucks and SUVs in Louisville.

Kentucky's exports for motor vehicles and parts were up 28 percent in the first quarter of 2015.
