After the Kentucky Senate's top leader said he was disappointed by Governor Matt Bevin's veto of a pension bill, the Governor has fired back.

In a letter to Robert Stivers, Gov. Bevin said Stiver's comments "indicate either a remarkable misunderstanding of the legislation you just voted for, or an intentional misrepresentation of the facts" and that the bill "included a blatant violation of the involable contract and he was duty-bound to veto it".

Bevin also said, in his letter, that the bill would have "taken pension checks from individual retirees".

Bevin says he will call lawmakers back for a special session to fix the bill.
