Bluegrass Museum Fundraising Passes $4 Million
OWENSBORO, KY - The fundraising drive for a bluegrass music center has surpassed the halfway mark.
According to the Messenger-Inquirer Terry Woodward, who is the chairman of the International Bluegrass Music Museums board of trustees, told city officials last week that more than $4 million has been raised for the project.
Woodward has a deadline of August to raise another $3 million in order to get a $3 million contribution from the city to refurbish an old state office building and turn it into the International Bluegrass Music Center.
He says he's confident he'll meet the deadline.
