The Caldwell County courthouse was briefly evacuated Thursday afternoon due to a bomb threat.

Caldwell County Sheriff Stan Hudson said Marion Police got a 911 call at around 2:30 pm Thursday from a man who told them a bomb had been planted in a courthouse, but didn't specify which courthouse. A trace of the call reportedly showed the man was calling from a Caldwell County location. He said the Caldwell County courthouse was then evacuated for about an hour and a half Thursday afternoon while Kentucky Sate Police K9 units checked the building, but found no explosives.

Hudson said the investigation is ongoing, and that police have developed several persons of interest in the case.
