Anderson County Sheriff Troy Young has been elected to lead the Kentucky Sheriffs' Association.

 

Elections were held during the group's 85th annual conference in Bowling Green earlier this month. The association said in a news release that 36 newly elected sheriffs were among more than 100 sheriffs total attending.

Other officers elected are vice presidents Wayne Wright of Woodford County, Kevin Corman of Jessamine County and Craig Peoples of Pendleton County; secretary-treasurer Charles Korzenborn of Kenton County; and sergeant-at-arms Patrick Boggs of Mason County.

Directors are Todd Pate of Breckinridge County, Livy Leavell of Christian County, Berl Perdue of Clark County, Chuck Dills of Grant County, John Ward of Hardin County, John Root of Laurel County, Curt Folger of Lincoln County, Wallace Whitaker of Logan County, Kevin Byars of Marshall County and Tony Hampton of Scott County.
