KSP received a visit from Brenda Tiffany and her granddaughter Mahlea on Monday. They presented 100 duffel bags to Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services Secretary Vickie Glisson to be used by children going into foster care.

Often times, children must pack all their belongings in a garbage bag before being moved into foster care programs. The duffel bags will provide them a dignified way to move their belongings during what is already a difficult time.

Brenda made the donation in honor of her son, fallen Trooper Cameron Ponder. It is fitting that this donation was made in his honor as his last act in this life was helping a family find lodging for the night.

If you are interested in beginning a duffel bag backpack drive or donating a bag to a child, please contact the CHFS at 502-564-6786.
