According to the Smoky Mountain tourism website's foliage map, all of western Kentucky and southern Illinois will be at or near their peak days to view fall colors. Southern Illinois north of the river counties will be at their peak this weekend, and the southernmost counties will join in next week.
By the first weekend of November, western Kentucky and northwest Tennessee's autumn splendor will peak.
