Green River Ferry in Mammoth Cave Shuts Down
By AP News Staff
Mammoth Cave, KY - The Green River Ferry through Mammoth Cave National Park has shut down because of low river levels.
The Houchin Ferry was scheduled to operate until the end of its shift at 6 p.m. CDT Sunday.
The Green River Ferry closed at 3 p.m. CDT Sunday.
Park officials say both ferries will reopen when river levels rise to a height that allows for safe operation.
