McConnell's campaign told the network Monday that he would participate.
Grimes had accepted the offer a couple of months ago. The "Kentucky Tonight" event is about three weeks before voters decide who will represent the Commonwealth in Washington. McConnell and Grimes will also appear at another candidate forum sponsored by Kentucky Farm Bureau on Wednesday.
