Grimes Raised More Money in Summer Than McConnell

Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes has raised more money than Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell since July.

She has banked $2.5 million as of Sept. 30. McConnell says he has raised nearly $2.3 million since July, pushing his overall fundraising total to $17.7 million for the election cycle.

McConnell and Grimes are expected to face each other in the 2014 U.S. Senate election.
