The Kentucky Office of Homeland Security announced 112 recipients for this year's $2.7 million Homeland Security grant program.

The Calloway County Fiscal Court will receive $26,100 for "security enhancements". The Fairdealing-Olive Hill Fire Department District in Marshall County will receive $14,900 to go toward a new radio. 

KOHS says 105 Kentucky counties applied for grant funding in the current cycle, and the 112 grants awarded will be spread throughout 74 counties.

The state office will administer $2,699,400 in US Department of Homeland Security grants to city and county governments, fire protection districts and public universities to purchase first responder equipment, communications equipment and critical infrastructure protection. For a complete listing of the 2016 Homeland Security Grant Program awardees, visit the link below.
