Man Hit by Train, Airlifted to Hospital

MADISONVILLE, KY - A western Kentucky man was flown to a hospital after being hit by a train.
Madisonville police said 32-year-old Matthew Edwards was on the railroad tracks Sunday morning as a CSX train approached. A police report said Edwards attempted to move away, but wasn’t able to clear the tracks in time and was struck.
He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, then airlifted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, Ind. Police said the extent of his injuries was unknown.
