Most Popular License Plates Support Coal, Nature
FRANKFORT, KY - Kentucky offers a wide variety of license plates to motorists.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reports that beyond the standard issue plates that say "Unbridled Sprit" or "In God We Trust," the state offers dozens of other options.
The two most popular specialty plates according to data from the state Transportation Cabinet are Nature and Friends of Coal.
There are more than 46,000 Nature plates, which support the Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Fund and more than 43,000 Friends of Coal plates, which supports the group Friends of Coal Kentucky.
