A central Kentucky mother has pleaded not guilty to charges after police said she bought marijuana for two juveniles and allowed them to smoke it.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports that Sheri Jean Humston entered her plea Friday afternoon when she appeared in court on the second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor charge.

Authorities say Humston admitted that she picked up a Bryan Station Middle School student last Friday and bought the 13-year-old marijuana. Authorities allege her daughter was also in the vehicle and both kids were allowed to smoke marijuana before they were dropped back at the school. Humston also allegedly forged a parent's signature for her daughter's friend to get back into school.

Humston is still in the Fayette County detention center, and must pay $1,000 bail. If she is released, Humston is not allowed to have any contact with the juvenile.
