Kentucky is falling short when it comes to implementing policies to reduce and prevent tobacco use, according to a new report.  
 
The report by the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network says Kentucky has the highest cancer incident and mortality rates in the nation.

Kentucky also has the highest cancer rate resulting from tobacco use: The report says 34 percent of cancer cases in Kentucky are a direct result of tobacco use.  

The report estimates that this year in Kentucky, 26,220 people will be diagnosed with cancer and 10,400 will die from it.
