Taylor County Man Charged With Child Exploitation

TAYLOR COUNTY - A Taylor County man has been arrested on child sexual exploitation charges.

The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested 53-year-old Barry D. Lewis on Thursday after allegedly sharing images of child sexual exploitation online, and promoting the sexual performance of children online.

The investigation resulted in a search warrant at a home in Campbellsville.  Equipment allegedly used in the crime was seized and taken to KSP's forensic laboratory for examination.  

Lewis was charged with twenty counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance and one count of prohibited use of an electronic communication device to procure a minor.  Lewis is lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center.
