Teen Dies From Shooting in Standoff
LOUISVILLE, KY - An official has identified the second victim killed during a standoff in Louisville.
Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Rita Taylor told WAVE-TV that 16-year-old Osman Omor died of multiple gunshot wounds on Friday during the standoff.
Ricardo Taylor has been charged with two counts of murder. Police say he also fatally shot 25-year-old Tela Harvey and injured another woman.
Police say they were called to the Jackson Woods Apartments on a report of shots fired, and saw a man go into an apartment. When he refused to exit, SWAT team members tried to negotiate with him before shooting in tear gas canisters. Police say Taylor emerged with the injured woman.
Police found the others inside the apartment.
Online jail records did not indicate whether Taylor has an attorney.
