Unemployment rates in March were down for most of western Kentucky, according to the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training.

All but two counties in western Kentucky had a lower jobless rate in March than it did in February. Christian County saw the rate rise from 6.5% in February to 6.7% in March, and Todd County rose from 4.5 to 4.7%.

Woodford County recorded the lowest unemployment figure for the Commonwealth in March at 3.5%. Magoffin County had the highest at 18.9%.

Kentucky's unadjusted employment rate for March was 5.4%, compared to the national figure of 4.6%.
