THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEMPHIS HAS ISSUED A

FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CARROLL COUNTY ...
  EASTERN GIBSON COUNTY ...
  SOUTHERN HENRY COUNTY ...
  AND EASTERN WEAKLEY COUNTY IN NORTHWEST TENNESSEE...
  
UNTIL 1045 AM 

AT 748 AM ... 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAINFALL HAS OCCURRED OVER THE
  PAST 2 HOURS. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE AN ADDITIONAL
  1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN OVER THE NEXT 3 HOURS.

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO HUMBOLDT...
  HUNTINGDON...JACKSON...LEXINGTON...MCKENZIE...MILAN...PARIS...
  NATCHEZ TRACE STATE FOREST AND NATCHEZ TRACE STATE PARK.

THIS WARNING ALSO INCLUDES AREAS NEAR BEECH LAKE AND PIN OAK LAKE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

.DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

.MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE
INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE
USUALLY DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS
POWERFUL ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING
FLOODED ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
