Kenton's White Squirrel Festival is June 29-July 4

KENTON, TN - The Kenton TN White Squirrel Festival is scheduled for June 29 through July 4.
The six-day festival will kick off Friday, June 29 with a co-ed softball tournament starting at 6 pm. There is a $100 entry fee per team. The tourney will continue Saturday, June 30, and possibly Monday, July 2.
Saturday, June 30, the Kenton Youth Center will host a tribute to the military and a flag ceremony at 8 am, with breakfast served afterwards.
On Sunday, July 1, a community worship service will be held at the Kenton gym starting at 6 pm.
Monday, July 2, First State Bank, across from Kenton City Hall, will host a reception for all military veterans from 5-7 pm. Veterans will be serving as the grand marshals of the town’s festival parade this year.
Tuesday, July 3 includes a spaghetti supper at the Kenton gym from 5-7 pm, with a $5 per adult and $3 per child price. Bingo will also be available in the gym from 7-9 pm, at 50 cents per game.
On July 4, a 5K run begins at 7:30 am in front of the Kenton Gym. Registration will begin at 7 am. The Kenton White Squirrel Festival Parade will line up in the former Plastech plant parking lot at 10 am and will begin at 11 am, traveling down Poplar Street and west onto College Street. There will be games for children beginning at noon, a street dance downtown from 7-10 pm, and a fireworks show at 10 pm.
