Police Looking for Burglars of Bradford Quick Stop
By WestKyStar Staff
BRADFORD, TN - Police in Bradford, TN are investigating a burglary that happened Friday morning at a convenience store.

The break-in occurred during the early morning hours, when thieves tore away air conditioning duct work at the rear of the Bradford Quick Stop on Highway 45 North, and went through the opening. A tire iron was used to pry open an office door, and at least two bank deposit bags were taken from a file cabinet. They contained credit card receipts, checks stamped for deposit, and an undetermined amount of cash.

An ATM inside the store was heavily damaged, but attempts to steal money that it held were unsuccessful.

It also appears that the same people removed an electric meter from a utility pole, probably intending to cut off power to the property. Weakley County Municipal Electric technicians repaired the meter soon after they were notified.

Anyone with information about these crimes should contact the Bradford, TN Police Department or call the local Crime Stoppers line.

Banks and merchants should be on the lookout for anyone attempting to cash the stolen checks, which have the store's deposit stamp on the back. Report any attempts to police.
