Thomas “Tommy” E. Emerson, Jr. 76, of Paducah, Kentucky, left this earthly world on Monday, June 22, 2020. Tommy enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his friends and family, especially watching his grand kids play baseball/softball. He was a member of the McCracken County Rescue Squad with over 50 years of service and a member of Kiwanis Club of South Paducah for over 30 years. He served his country as a Radio Relay Operator in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. Tommy retired from the McCracken County Road Department and was a lifetime member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Tommy leaves behind two daughters, Mary Emerson-Toon (Michael), of Kevil, Kentucky and Christina Kay Munks (Dennis), of Creal Springs, Illinois; six grandchildren, Abigail Elrod, Logan, Gage and Ashton Whitfield, Alex and Haidyn Munks; Uncle Larry Ray (Judy), of Marshall County, Kentucky; several beloved cousins that were more like siblings, Sherry Childers, Bennie Harper, Shelia Hogue, Kim Wiggins, Kelly Quigley, Chris and Charles Evans Carnes; three very dear friends, Kenny and Sheri Meeks and Cheri Smith; and several beloved pets. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Lodine Emerson. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 29, 2020 at Milner and Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah with Rev. Susan Engle officiating. Inurnment will follow at Brook Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. Monday, June 29, 2020 at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the care Tommy received from a very special nurse, Wanda Carnes.
