Harriford, Nora
Nora Mae Harriford, 81, of Paducah died at 8:29 p.m. Sunday at her residence.
Nora was a member of Miles Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church where she served as chairman of the culinary committee. She was a graduate of the former Lincoln High School, co-owner of Harriford Reproductions and had been a cook in several local restaurants.
She is survived by one daughter, Shannon K. Harriford-Johnson of Murfreesboro, TN; seven sons, Robert L. Harriford, Jr. of Lansing, KS, Donnie E. Harriford of Baker, LA, Lonnie E. Harriford of Nashville, TN, and, Richard (Rick) Leon Harriford, Ben Thomas Harriford, William Keith Harriford and Fred Williams all of Paducah; 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Sylvia Jeanette Harrison of New Albany, IN, Anna Ruth Brown of Compton, CA, Reverend Louise Buckner of Evansville, IN, and Sherry Orr of Paducah; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert L. “Pop” Harriford, Sr.; her parents, William Carter and Margaret Moody Carter; a son, Ronnie Nance; and one brother.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Miles Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church with
Reverend Kimberley Traylor officiating with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. at the church.
Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
