Ms. Brenda Sue Lane, age 69, of Metropolis, IL, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away at 4:07 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with Chris Sielbeck officiating. There will be no burial.
Brenda was of the Baptist faith.
Brenda is survived by one son, Phillip A. Lane Jr. of Chicago, IL; three daughters, Linda Lane Boerema of Sevierville, TN, Phyllis Jean Lane of Rockwood, TN, and Anna Marie Lane of Metropolis; six grandchildren, Suzanne Terry, Stephanie Lane, Raymond Beach, Cassandra Kowalczyk, Gideon Lane and Mason Lane; seven great grandchildren, Jacob Flowers, Arin Ganoung, Trevor Morency, Brendon Morency, Marie Beach, Raymond Beach Jr. and Esperanza Terry; one sister, Anna Frazer of Chicago, IL; three brothers, Elmo Drowns Jr. of Chicago, IL, Donald Drowns of Chicago, IL, and Phillip E. Drowns of AZ; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmo and Marie (Emery) Drowns Sr.; one son, Jerry Brandon Lane; one sister, Beverly Correa; two brothers, Timothy Drowns and Jerry Drowns.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.
