Derrick Royce Hensley, age 29, of Paducah, passed away Friday, 5:30 p.m. February 16, 2018.
He was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church and was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School.
He is survived by two sons, Demetrius La’Cour-Hensley and Karamello La’Cour, both of Brookport, IL; his mother, Althea Ruth Hensley of Paducah; five brothers, DeAries LaShawn Shannon, Jamieson Frazier and Christopher Michael Carruthers, all of Paducah, Antwan Brandon Frazier of South Fulton, TN, and Samuel LaMont Carruthers of Hopkinsville, KY; one sister, Christina Carruthers of Washington, PA; Grandmother, Norma Jean Fitzgerald Hensley of Paducah; three uncles; four aunts; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father James Carruthers, Sr and one brother, James Carruthers, Jr.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, February 22, 2018, 11:30 a.m., at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Edward Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Friends may also call at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
