Carson Eugene George, age 79 of Paducah, passed away at 6:24 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Baptist Health Paducah. Gene was a machine instructor at West Kentucky Community and Technical College. He enjoyed antique steam engines. He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran.
Gene was born in McCracken County on April 20, 1939 to the late Herman and Mayme George.
Survivors include a daughter, Vickie VanMeter of Murray; a sister, Betty and husband, Merle Reese of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two grandchildren, Weston Wilke of Vienna, Illinois and Ashlin and husband, Micah Lowery of Metropolis; three great-grandchildren, Easton Wilke, Lyla Lowery and Lawson Lowery.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Marie George and his parents.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Mt. Kenton Cemetery in Paducah with Rev. David Wright officiating. Burial will follow.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
