Gladys Pauline (Buchanan) Nichols, age 86 of Metropolis, Illinois formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Gladys had worked for the Brown Shoe Company and had been a self-employed health care provider. She was a member of the Western Hill Church of Christ in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She is survived by her nephew, Chris Buchanan and wife Linda of Metropolis, IL and her niece, Alvena Ferreira of Asheville, NC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Eva (Joyner) Buchanan; husband, Orin E. Nichols; sisters, Mary Frances Flickinger and Marjorie Sanderson; brothers, Clyde Buchanan and Bob Buchanan.
