Mr. Harold Warren “Pud” Fry, age 88, of Joppa, IL, formerly of Robinson, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at the Joppa Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Wayne Fry officiating. There will be no visitation.
Harold graduated with the Class of 1945 from Robinson High School. He was a World War II Army Veteran, past Commander of American Legion Post 210 in Danville, IL and an Iron Worker for the University of Illinois. He was also a baker, carpenter, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Harold is survived by his wife, Betty J. Fry; sons, Gary Lee Fry and wife Donna, Richard Wayne Fry and wife Lillian and Kasey Garris; grandchildren, Shane, Jason, Jacob, and Sam; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Martin Fry, Rex Irvin Fry, and Steven Michael Fry; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Vern and Bessie K. (Otey) Fry; daughter, Blair E. Garris; sisters, Mary and Joanne; and brothers, George and William.
Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis is in charge of arrangements.
