Joyce Marie Davis Franklin, age 71 of Cairo, IL, passed away at 5:04 am on May 22, 2015 at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, IL. Ms. Franklin was a member of Arlington First Baptist Church. She was a volunteer at the VFW in Cairo, IL.
She is survived by one son, Shane McGee and wife Jenise of Bardwell, KY; three sisters, Inez Jackson and husband Jim of Augusta, AR, Jane Hudgens and husband Joe of Bardwell, KY, Judy Burton and husband James of Cartersville, GA; one brother, Billy Joe Sams and wife Betty of St. Charles; and three grandchildren, Brittany McGee, Daven McGee, and Malle McGee.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lonnie Davis and Joe Bennett Kimble Davis; and one brother, Charles Sams.
Funeral services for Ms. Franklin will be held at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 12:00pm with Rev. Thomas Hoskins officiating. Burial will follow at Clinton Cemetery in Clinton, KY.
Visitation will begin at 10:00am until the service time on Monday, May 25, 2015 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell.
