Michael Early McDonald, 66, Metropolis, IL, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at his residence.
Michael was of the Baptist faith and Veteran of the US Army, having served during the Vietnam Era. He was a postal carrier in Paducah, KY branch of the US Postal Service, from where he retired.
He was preceded in death by his father, Early Clauzell McDonald and his mother Bernice Jeanette Summerville Lane and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Shelia Fay McDonald of Metropolis, IL; three sons, Ronald McDonald of Brookport, IL, Travis Thomas of Metropolis, IL and Paris Thomas of Grays Lake, WI; two daughters, Meredith McDonald and Andrea McDonald, both of Brookport, IL; four brothers, Malcolm McDonald of Colorado Springs, CO, Martin McDonald of Denver, CO, Neil B. McDonald of Killeen, TX, and Bruce K. McDonald of Oakland, CA; one sister, Andrea McDonald-Sutton of Metropolis, IL ; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2014, 11:00 AM at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home in Paducah. Reverend Joseph Benberry will officiate.
Friends may also call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour.
