Truman Bremer, age 86, of Metropolis passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Zion United Church of Christ in Metropolis, with Rev. Jim Duncan officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at the Zion United Church of Christ cemetery.
Mr. Bremer was a lifelong member of the Zion United Church of Christ, Member of the American Legion and VFW, as well as being a longtime volunteer at COPE.
Mr. Bremer is survived by his nephew, Stanley Bremer and wife Tonya of De Soto, IL; great nephew, Lucas Bremer and wife Molly of Paducah, KY; and great niece, Mallory Bremer of Indianapolis, IN; great-great nephews, Tripp Sullivan and Jax Michael of Indianapolis, IN.
Truman was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Annie (Wessel) Bremer; brothers, Norman Bremer, Lindell Bremer, Robert Bremer, Kenneth Bremer, and Melvin Bremer; sisters, Deloris Buchanan and Verona Krueger.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the funeral hour on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Zion United Church of Christ in Metropolis.
Memorials may take the form of donations to either Zion United Church of Christ, 1132Country Club Road, Metropolis, Illinois 62960 or to the Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery Fund, at the same address.
