Verma T Morris

Verma T. Morris, 85, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015, 4:35 pm at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis, Illinois.

She was a member of Mt. Horeb Church and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lawrence Morris, one son, Steve Morris, one brother and two sisters. Her parents were Carey Nelson and Mayme Lee Henderson Nelson.

She is survived by two sons, Keith Foreman, and Anthony Ershkin Morris both of Metropolis, IL; one daughter, Paula Simpson Jones of Metropolis, IL; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; two sisters, Helen Bradshaw, Metropolis, IL and Mary Hardy Brookport, IL;  several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015, 12 Noon at Mt. Horeb Church, 906 Pearl Street, Metropolis, IL 62960 with Reverend Joseph Benberry Officiating.

The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 am until the funeral hour, Thursday, August 20, 2015.
