Mattie Earleen Rushing, age 89, of Portage, IN formerly of Arlington, KY passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at St. Mary Hospital in Hobart, IN.
She was once a member of Christian Brother Assembly in Columbus, KY and a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Duvall and husband, Larry of Portage, IN; her son, Terry Rushing of Portage, IN; her sister, Opal Dean Jones of Clinton, Ky; her grandchildren, Christopher Duvall, Keith Duvall, and Randy Duvall; great grandchildren, Juan Barrios, Sebastian Duvall, Ryen Duvall, and Soraya Barrios.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James F Rushing; parents, Hiram and Maude Lee Tucker Carter; daughter, Brenda Jenelle Rushing; sisters, Ruby Mae Moore and Zora Bell Stewart; brother, Amos Carter.
Servives for Mrs. Rushing will be held at Milner & Orr Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Arlington on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in Oakwood cemetery. Bill Davis & Daniel McClure will officiate. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
