Minnie Jo James, 89, of Paducah passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Life Care Center in LaCenter.
Mrs. James formerly worked at Woolworth and was a member of First Christian Church in Paducah. She was a lifetime member of Woodmen of the World. Her hobbies were reading and making quilts for all the grandchildren and baby quilts for other family members.
Surviving is her daughter, Benita (Kenneth) Meadows of Paducah; one daughter in-law, Sue James; five grandchildren, Greg Meadows, Todd Meadows, Ron Davis, Joe Davis, Nichole James; and eleven great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Frank James; her parents, Albert and Albateen McCord; one son, Bill James; one sister, Neta June; three brothers, Fred McCord, Gerald McCord, Donnie McCord; one grandson, Scott Meadows; one granddaughter, Christy Johnston; and one great-grandson.
Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Jamie Eubanks officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Hickman County.
Friends may visit the family from 11:00am to service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
