Sharon Sledd Hopkins, age 65, of Richmond, KY and formerly of Murray, KY, died at 3:45pm Friday at Spring Creek Health Care, in Murray. She was born November 26,1945 in Calloway Co. to the late Joseph Edward & Mary Larue (Hall) Sledd. Her son; Charles Hopkins also prededed her in death. Ms. Hopkins was a retired Special Education Teacher in Madison Co. KY, andserved as the director of the Madison Co. Special Olympics. She was also an active member of Alpha Delta Kappa Teacher's Sorority, andenjoyed her wine club, book club, reading, and playing Bunco. She was a member of White Oak Pond Christian Church in Richmond, KY, and attended Unity Cumberland Presbyterian Church, in Hardin, KY She is survived by two sons; Stephen Hopkins (Allison), of Atlanta, GA and David Hopkins, of Richmond, KY, three sisters; Joette Shields, of Murray, KY, Renee Turnbow (Bruce), of Benton, KY and Dawn Hollamon (Greg), of Crittenden Co. KY, one son;Terry Joe Sledd, of Murray, KY, and three grandchildren;Andrea Ballard, Erin Hopkins, and Evan Hopkins. Services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, in Richmond, KY, with Nancy Long officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond Cemetery. Friends may visit from 5:00pmuntil 9:00pm Friday, and after 11:00am Saturday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell. A local memorial servicewill be held at 2:00pm Sunday at Unity Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where friends may visit after noon Sunday. Donations: St. JudeTribute Program, P.O.
