Cecil J. Holder, 88, of Bardwell passed away at his home Wednesday August 20, 2014 at 7:40 am. Cecil worked as a timber cutter and was head saw man at McFarland Lumber Company in Cairo, IL. for twenty-four years.
Mr. Holder was survived by two daughters, Rita Shrodes, and Cathy Holder both of Bardwell; three sons, Gary Holder of Bardwell, Roy Holder of Paducah, and Jimmy Holder of Paducah; twelve grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Holder and Blanche Webb Holder; three brothers, and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 23, 2014 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell, with Rev. Bill Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn cemetery. A visitation will be held beginning at 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 23, 2014 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell until funeral time.
