Charles “Charlie” William Arington, Jr., 65, of Wickliffe, KY, passed away at 10:08 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Charlie was a private construction contractor and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats fan, a NASCAR fan, and enjoyed fishing. He was of the Catholic faith and attended Anchor of Hope Church in Wickliffe.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Draper Arington of Wickliffe, KY; eight daughters, Holly Allen of LaCenter, KY, Tina Arington of Barlow, KY, Kathy Caldwell of Massac County, IL, Shannon Collins of Clinton, KY, Kelly McGreal of Blandville, KY, Cindy Webb of Fulton, KY, Charlie Rae of AL, Kimberly French of Milburn, KY; one son, Chad Scott of Gage, KY; three sisters, Charlotte Arington of Wickliffe, KY, Patricia Rhyme of Blandville, KY, Mary Lovelace of Blandville, KY; five brothers, Glen Franklin Arington of Blandville, KY; Ron Arington of Las Vegas, NV, Niles “Kim” Arington of Tucson, AZ, Joseph Gerard Arington of Henderson, KY, Phillip Arington of St. Louis, MO; 23 grandchildren, Ashley Beasley, Craig Crews, Joshua Caldwell, Aaron Caldwell, Westan Caldwell, Gabby Collins, Morgan Koontz, Dustin Cochran, Courtney Cochran, Justin Jones, Lyndsee Webb, Shelbee Webb, Isabelle Wilcox, Ethan French, Austin Boggs, Devin Boggs, Cameron Scott, Cayden Scott, Mallory Stewart, Linkoln Stewart, Mason Allen, Addi Allen, Jackson Allen; and nine great grandchildren, Coleson Vaughn, Allie Beasley, Keane Caldwell, Ryleigh Caldwell, Reagan Caldwell, Brylee Cochran, Hadley Cochran, Alexa Crowley, and Calin Crews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Williams Arington, Sr. and Patricia Raines Arington.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Stan Puryear officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery in LaCenter, KY.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Wickliffe. Prayers will be held at 7:00pm with Dee Hazelwood officiating.
