Emma Jean Ferguson, 93, of Arlington, passed away in Douglasville, Georgia on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
She was born July 7, 1926 in Arlington to the late John William Brock and Sarah Elizabeth Sullenger Brock.
Emma Jean was a life-time member of Arlington First Baptist Church. She was an active member of Arlington Woman’s Club where she held many different offices. Emma Jean’s hobbies included cooking, traveling, jigsaw puzzles, word games, coloring books, and church events.
Survivors include one daughter, Eugenia “Genie” Kay Gordon and husband, Tod of Douglasville, Georgia; one son, Joseph “Joe” Ferguson and wife, Dixie of Arlington, Kentucky; one grandson, Derek Ferguson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Milton Ferguson and her parents.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Rev. David Sphinx officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 12:00 noon until time of service.
