Ethel Mavis Terry Sims, 92, of Bardwell, KY passed away at Countryside Center, Tuesday, May 19, 2015. She was a member of Mississippi Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters, Terry Lee Cox and husband, Dennis of Fredonia, KY and Gwynellen Brown of Bardwell, KY; her son, Phillip Ray Sims and wife Debbie of Reidland, KY; her sisters, Mary Beth Bishop of Bardwell, Huellen Edwards of Bardwell, and Nancy Poole of South Fulton, TN.; her cousin/sister, Jo Hays of Bardwell; her brother, Johnny Wayne Terry of Murray, KY; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Sims; her parents, Henry and Pearl Hayworth Terry; her son-in-law, Ernie Brown; her brothers, Hazel B Terry, G.H. Terry; two half-sisters and two half-brothers.
Services for Mrs. Sims will be held at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell, Friday, May 22, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 21, 2015 beginning at 5:00 p.m..
