Isaac Minor, age 96, of Paducah, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020, 6:20 a.m., at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Paducah.
He was a member of the New Greater Love Church and received certification as a master carpenter from West Kentucky Vocational School. He was co-owner/operator of Sunflower Construction and Minor’s Images Plus in Detroit, MI. He was a United States Navy Veteran having served during World War II.
He is survived by One Daughter, Norma Forrest of Southfield, MI; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; twenty great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Minor and Ethel Young Minor; his first wife, Mable Renfro Minor, one son, Stephen Marcus Penn, four sisters, four brothers .
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, July 23, 2020, 12:00 Noon, at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with Rev. LaRita Horton, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow on Friday, July 24, 2020, 1:00 p.m., at the Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, IL.
Friends may also call on the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
