Juanita (Courtney) Bogle, 93, of Milburn, KY, passed away on Sunday, December 17th, 2017 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. Juanita was a long and faithful member of Beulah Baptist Church in Beulah, KY. In her early years, she worked in both Detroit, MI and Connecticut during World War II in the manufacturing industry. She was also a loving and giving homemaker to her family and helped out whenever possible on her husband’s tobacco farm.
Juanita is survived by one son, Ray Bogle of Lone Oak, KY; one daughter, Joy (Bogle) Parham and husband Johnny of Milburn, KY; two sisters, Patsy (Courtney) Brewer of Mayfield, KY and Dodie (Courtney) Gholson of Clinton, KY; two brothers, Donald Courtney of Beulah, KY and Hector Courtney of Panama City, FL; four grandchildren, Jason Bogle and wife Lynn of Arlington, KY, Todd Bogle and wife Stacey of Milburn, KY, Joni Carrico and husband Ian of Bardwell, KY, and Jon Matt Parham and wife Lacie of Milburn, KY; 13 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Sophia, Elijah, Josie, Scarlett, Will, Levi, Lily, Dalton, Silas, Chase, Katie and Arianna; three great, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her husband of 66 years, William Bogle; her parents, E.S. “Pat” Courtney and Dixie Mae (Burgess) Courtney; one sister, Nettie Ollie Whitt; three brothers, James Elvis Courtney, Amos Courtney and Benjamin Courtney.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, December 21st, 2017 at Beulah Baptist Church in Beulah, KY with Rev. Ian Carrico officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, December 20th, 2017 at Beulah Baptist Church.
