Margie Lou Harvey

Margie Lou (Wallace) Harvey, 88, of Benton, Kentucky, died on Sunday, November 17, 2019, at the Stilley House.  

Born January 10, 1931, in Webster County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Beulah (Blackwell) Wallace.  She was married for over fifty years to the late Morris L. Harvey. 

She was a homemaker for many years, waited tables at Hutchens Hot Pig, and worked at the Side Door gift shop in Benton.  She was active in the Marshall County Hospital Auxiliary and was a member of First Baptist Church of Benton. 

Marge is survived by her sons, Kerry B. Harvey of Lexington, Kentucky, and Morris Lane (Mary) Harvey of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; one brother, Billy Ray (Edna) Wallace of Clay, Kentucky; daughter-in-law, Dana Harvey; five grandchildren, Jessica Harvey (Matt Akridge), Abby (Evan) Dixon, Lane (Dana) Harvey, John (Miranda) Harvey, and Laura (Brock) Triplett; and nine great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three brothers. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at First Baptist Church of Benton, officiated by Mark Doom.  Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the service time.
